Boston, Mass. – May 12, 2017 – GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced Lissa Robinson, P.E., C.G., M.C.P.D., has been promoted to Portland, ME Branch Manager.
Lissa has 29 years of consulting experience as a Civil Engineer, Hydrologist, Geologist, and Land Planner. Since joining GEI in 2011, she has served as a Senior Project Manager working across the U.S. and New England to provide expertise in civil engineering and hydrology disciplines with emphasis in the areas of surface water and ground water hydrology, and hydraulic engineering.
Her work as a scientist, project manager, and land planner helps guide industrial facilities, manufacturing companies, and municipal, state, and federal organizations with investigation, analysis, licensing, permitting, remediation, and redevelopment. She has worked extensively with clients to evaluate the effects of flooding and inundation, and the resiliency of structures, systems, processes, and equipment to impacts such as riverine flooding, extreme precipitation, sea level rise, storm surge, and wave run-up. Lissa helps clients bridge the gap between science and land use policy through her knowledge and experience in community planning and development
Lissa earned a M.S. in Community Planning and Development from the University of Southern Maine, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tufts University.
