Strategic organizational leader Heidi Cashman joins GEI

WAKEFIELD, Massachusetts, February 19, 2026 – Heidi Cashman has joined GEI Consultants as the firm’s East Region Growth Leader. In this role, Heidi will lead strategic growth initiatives across the East Region, strengthen client relationships, guide pursuit strategy, and align teams, markets, and resources around shared priorities. She will partner with regional leadership, marketing, and seller-doers to bring clarity to growth initiatives and position GEI for long-term success.
“Heidi brings nearly two decades of experience leading and supporting the growth of geotechnical and multidisciplinary teams, with deep experience in commercial development, transportation, and energy-related markets,” says Ben Sawa, Chief Development Officer at GEI. “By understanding objectives and aligning teams and resources, Heidi will be a tremendous asset in delivering high-quality outcomes to our clients.”
With more than 18 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer in the AEC industry, Heidi brings a broad background spanning complex urban and suburban development, municipal work, and infrastructure-related projects throughout New England and beyond. Her experience includes technical practice as well as roles centered on business development, client engagement, and organizational growth. Heidi is known for her collaborative, people-focused approach and her ability to connect teams and ideas across disciplines and geographies.

Heidi holds a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering from Utah State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology (INTEC) in the Dominican Republic. She is a registered professional engineer in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, and Washington.
