Joe Garcia, P.E. joins GEI’s Dallas office as Transportation Practice Leader

Dallas, TX (March 22, 2023) – Joe Garcia, P.E. has joined GEI’s Dallas office as Transportation Practice Leader. He brings more than 25 years of expertise in transportation engineering, drainage, and public work projects to the role.

“Joe has a practical perspective on solving infrastructure challenges based on his extensive industry experience, his commitment to meeting client needs, and his passion for training and mentoring others,” says GEI Dallas Branch Manager Daphne King. “His ability to genuinely connect with our clients, teaming partners, and staff to define and meet needs will position our Dallas office to continue providing the quality design for which we are known.”

Joe brings expertise in numerous areas including preliminary and final design and development, layout of highway alignments, roadway drainage, storm water management, hydraulic and hydrologic reports, erosion and sedimentation control, and water and sanitary systems.

“I was working on a Texas DOT contract with GEI and witnessed first-hand the professionalism and expertise of the staff in the demonstration and presentation of their design results,” says Joe. “I wanted to join the GEI team to be part of a group of like-minded engineers and technical staff.”

Joe also brings experience in project management and control, including project setup for contract compliance, project kick-off meetings, scheduling and staffing projects, and managing daily work activity and milestone status to meet deadlines and budgets.
