BOSTON, Massachusetts, Oct. 15, 2026 – Sean Sparks has joined GEI Consultants as Vice President, Energy Siting and Permitting. Sean’s experience includes environmental siting and permitting for energy-related projects, with expertise spanning the full project life cycle. His background includes Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulated oil and gas projects, and Deepwater Port work under the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD).

“Sean brings a depth of energy siting and permitting expertise that is difficult to find,” says Ben Sawa, Chief Development Officer at GEI. “His work with developers, regulators, and project teams across the country will be a tremendous asset to our clients and to GEI, as we continue to expand our energy practice. We’re excited to have Sean on the team, and we look forward to drawing on his expertise to help our clients navigate increasingly complex energy projects.”

Sean has worked on energy projects in 35 states, including more than 20 liquified natural gas (LNG) facilities.
