Sharon McSwieney Named Bloomfield, NJ Branch Manager

Bloomfield, NJ – GEI Consultants Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources and ecological science and engineering firms, is pleased to announce Sharon McSwieney has been named Branch Manager of GEI’s Bloomfield, NJ office.

Ms. McSwieney will lead and direct the continued growth and exceptional performance of GEI’s Bloomfield, NJ office. “Sharon has been a key part of our success in New Jersey, and we are excited that she is taking on these new responsibilities,” said Patrick King, GEI’s East Region Operations Manager. Ms. McSwieney joined GEI in 2018 as a Senior Consultant and quickly rose to leadership positions in project management and business development. Ms. McSwieney has more than 20 years of experience in the industry with a proven track record as one of the first Licensed Site Remediation Professional’s (LSRP) in New Jersey. She serves the environmental remediation and transactional due diligence needs of private sector and institutional clients throughout the New Jersey-New York metropolitan area.

Having started her career at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Division of Water Resources, Ms. McSwieney has since held key management positions in three other well-known consulting firms. She received her master’s degree in environmental engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Rutgers University. Ms. McSwieney is very active in several professional organizations including the Advisory Council for BCONE; the Sustainability and Resiliency Committee for EBC as co-chair of Energy; CIANJ as representative at NJDEP SRAG; and as a member of NJSWEP and LSRPA.
