Steve Geiger Joins GEI as Vice President
September 11, 2025Geiger brings expertise in geotechnical and materials forensic analysis.
MOORESVILLE, North Carolina, Sept. 11, 2025 – Steve Geiger, P.E., has joined GEI Consultants in Mooresville as Vice President and Senior Consultant. Steve is a Professional Engineer with more than 37 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing. Over his career, Steve has developed and implemented in-situ geotechnical testing and instrumentation programs for private and public entities, particularly industrial, heavy civil, and soft-ground projects.

Much of Steve’s current practice involves forensic and expert consulting, with particular emphasis on foundation, roadway, retaining walls, embankments, and earth slope performance. He has been qualified as an expert in geotechnical engineering in both federal and state courts.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is a registered professional engineer in 18 states. Steve has received three American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Engineering Excellence Awards and a People’s Choice Award for creativity.
