Vice President Barry Raus Promoted to Mid-Atlantic Area Manager

Boston, Mass. – January 6, 2017 – GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that Vice President Barry Raus has been promoted to Mid-Atlantic Area Manager. In this role, Barry will have responsibility for guiding the management and growth of GEI’s Washington, DC; Exton, PA; and Mt. Laurel, NJ branches.

“Barry is up for the challenge,” said Vice President and East Region Operations Manager Patrick King. “Barry has been a leader within GEI since joining the firm and has been integral to the expansion of our gas and electric utility client base in Metro Philadelphia. We are confident in Barry’s ability to continue to grow GEI and serve our clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.”

Barry has 20 years of experience in the environmental industry, and has worked on more than 30 former Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) sites designing strategies for implementing remedial investigations and remedial action construction. Since joining GEI in 2009, Barry has led the growth of GEI’s Mt. Laurel office to 30 staff. Barry holds a BA in Geology from the College of Charleston and an MBA in Corporate Finance from Philadelphia University.
