Insurance Underwriting Support
GEI provided Underwriting Support for a Fortune 100 Insurance Company account renewal of a solid waste management firm operating in southern California. GEI evaluated 13 wastewater and vapor treatment facilities that are used by the oil and gas industry to manage by-products from production operations. The evaluation included the assessment of each location’s compliance with State and Federal environmental regulations, employee interviews to evaluate onsite operations, and the review of hazardous material management and contingency plans. Upon completion of the review, GEI developed a survey report for the client that summarized environmental compliance and onsite operations and provided recommendations for deficiencies that were encountered.
Key Challenges
The client required that the review process be completed within a two-week period to meet the policy renewal deadline. GEI utilized multiple team members from the Insurance Practice Group with support from GEI’s west coast offices to meet the client’s deadline. The insurance company was able to renew their client’s environmental policy without the need for extensions or concerns with lapse in coverage.
