Portraits of Emmett McFarlane and Bernard AsareWAKEFIELD, Massachusetts, August 11, 2026 – GEI continues to expand its Digital Solutions Enterprise Team with the addition of Emmett McFarlane and Bernard Asare. As AI Engineers, Emmett and Bernard will help GEI continue to build the enterprise capabilities needed to scale AI, automation, and digital innovation across the firm. Through enterprise platforms, digital solutions, reusable capabilities, and the AI Center of Excellence, the team helps improve project delivery, operational efficiency, and client value.

Emmett McFarlaneEmmett is an AI Engineer with seven years of experience building applied AI, machine learning, and enterprise data solutions. His expertise includes large language models (LLMs), agentic AI, document intelligence, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), computer vision, and high-performing computing, with a focus on building production-ready systems to address real-world business challenges.

“I chose GEI because of the firm’s strong technical reputation,” says Emmett. “I am excited about the opportunity to apply AI and machine learning to meaningful, real-world challenges.”

“Emmett embodies what our AI Center of Excellence stands for. As a founder who built and exited his own vision-language model company, he brings a rare seller-doer instinct; he can earn a client’s trust and deliver the system that justifies it,” says Adam Lashley, GEI’s AI & Data Platform Architect Lead. “Emmett’s focus on AI transparency through rigorous evaluation strengthens a capability our clients increasingly demand: the ability to prove an AI system works, not just claim that it works.”

Bernard Asare – Bernard is an AI Engineer with expertise in building production-ready AI systems, AI agents, and scalable cloud-native platforms. His work combines LLMs, backend architecture, and organizational knowledge to help clients turn data into actionable insights and reliable enterprise applications.

“Being a part of the GEI team presents an opportunity to apply advanced AI in ways that create tangible value for engineers, scientists, and clients,” says Bernard. “I look forward to contributing to GEI’s broader digital transformation, helping build reusable AI capabilities to improve knowledge sharing, automate complex workflows, and support better decision-making across the organization.”

“Bernard has spent his career building AI for regulated industries like healthcare, finance, and cybersecurity, where governance can’t be an afterthought. He’s also published research on privacy-preserving machine learning and built clinical systems subject to strict healthcare data regulations,” says Adam Lashley. “His governance-first mindset is emblematic of what our AI Center of Excellence is built to deliver: AI our clients can trust with the work they can’t afford to get wrong.”
