Lukas Mueller, P.Eng.

Lukas is a River Engineer specializing in ecological restoration, river processes, and sediment dynamics. He has advanced restoration projects from the concept stage through to construction, with experience in channel design, watercourse assessment, and hydraulic analysis.

As an engineer specializing in river and wetland restoration, Lukas has completed a variety of different projects throughout Southern Ontario. He is usually involved in several stages of a typical restoration project, including site assessments and field work, erosion hazard assessments and meander belt width delineations, watercourse restoration design, and construction observance.

Through the co-op program, he gained more than a year of experience working on the design of large-scale river diversions, shoreline stability assessments, and ecological monitoring programs. His master’s degree involved a study of sediment transport and routing patterns observed in a scaled down flume model of a creek.

Lukas holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Water) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering, both from the University of Waterloo.
