Cheyne Aiken, R.G.

Cheyne is a professional geologist with nearly eight years of experience in conducting site investigations and geologic characterization for civil works projects with an emphasis on flood risk management and navigation projects.

Cheyne has served as geologist team member on USACE semi-quantitative and quantitative risk assessments across the country. Recent projects include focused spillway risk assessments to  support the issues evaluation studies (IES) for Youghiogheny and Lucky Peak Dams. Additionally, he has been involved with numerous site investigations to support engineering and design. He has led and participated in field mapping of foundation conditions and rockfall and debris flow hazards at remote project sites.

Cheyne has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the State University of New York at Potsdam and a Master of Science in Geology, with a focus on structural geology and geochronology, from the University of Vermont.
