Ed Layton

Ed Layton is a Senior Hydrogeologist in the Exton, PA office. For 30 years, Mr. Layton has worked as a professional geologist and environmental consultant in the areas of hydrogeology, environmental investigation/remediation, and complex environmental permitting for both public and private sector clients in a variety of federal, state, and local regulatory frameworks.

Experienced in permitting and regulatory negotiation, as well as building positive relationships with multiple stakeholders, Mr. Layton has designed and led numerous hydrogeological investigations across the northeastern United States in unconsolidated and fractured bedrock aquifers involving drilling, aquifer testing design and analysis, groundwater modeling, fate & transport modeling, water quality monitoring, soil test pits, wetland investigations, benthic macroinvertebrate studies, and geophysical surveys.
