Jamey Stynchula, P.G., LSRP

Jamey is a Senior Project Manager in the Environmental division of GEI’s Mount Laurel office with over 20 years of experience in the environmental consulting field. He holds Professional Geologist certifications in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Delaware and is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional in New Jersey. Jamey’s project experience includes the completion of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Preliminary Assessments, completion of site characterization primarily in Pennsylvania under the Pennsylvania Land Recycling Program (Act 2) and in New Jersey under Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (7:26E) and the Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA).

Jamey also has experience with Maryland, New York, Virginia and Delaware regulatory programs. His knowledge of geology has allowed him to design and conduct numerous site characterization programs and site remediation through investigation of environmental media including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment and soil vapor. Remediation strategies, particularly in Pennsylvania include pathway elimination through engineering control, risk assessment and monitored natural attenuation with fate and transport analysis supported by hydrogeological investigations involving well pumping tests and analyses.

As geologist of record for over 30 Act 2 sites, Jamey has designed site remediation to be completed in conjunction with Brownfield redevelopment, considering site development plans and future use. A portion of Jamey’s experience is based in supporting geotechnical site investigations, laboratory soils testing and field inspection services for structural soils, shallow and deep foundation systems, ground modification through compaction grouting and municipal groundwater resource management.

Jamey has a M.S. and B.S. in Geology from Temple University.
