Meet Gei's

John DeGeorge, Ph.D., P.E.

Senior Vice President | Davis Office Branch Manager

John DeGeorge, Ph.D., P.E., is a Senior Vice President and Davis Office Branch Manager with more than 30 years of experience in numerical modeling, water resources engineering, and engineering software development. He has led the development and application of multi-dimensional hydrodynamic, water quality, sediment transport, and particle tracking models in support of major federal and state water management initiatives.

Prior to joining GEI, Dr. DeGeorge was President and Principal at Resource Management Associates, where he directed decades of software development for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center and contributed to many of the current generation of HEC modeling tools. He has overseen hundreds of software development task orders supporting real-time operations, planning, and flood risk management. His project leadership includes extensive modeling efforts throughout the Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta, informing large-scale restoration, levee risk assessment, emergency response planning, and water supply reliability.

John is widely recognized for bridging advanced numerical modeling, decision support tools, and practical implementation for complex water systems.
