Joshua DeGeorge
Software ProgrammerJoshua DeGeorge is a Software Programmer with experience developing engineering software, cloud computing solutions, and web-based applications for water resources planning and real-time operations. He specializes in Java-based application development, cloud computing architecture, and deployment of scalable systems supporting large-scale hydrologic and flood risk modeling.
Prior to joining GEI, Joshua built much of his career at Resource Management Associates, where he contributed to a wide range of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center applications, including REGI, RMASim, HEC-WAT, and CWMS web-based tools. He has extensive experience administering and optimizing Amazon Web Services environments to support distributed computing, including running tens of thousands of flood risk simulations across large virtual machine networks. His work also includes development of mobile and web applications, automated testing frameworks, DevOps transitions, and system integration to improve operational efficiency.
