Juan Contreras, P.E.

Juan Contreras is a Vice President and Regional Growth Leader for GEI’s South Region. Juan is a senior-level operations executive with more than 36 years of experience in the consulting and professional services industry. His early years in engineering involved the design and management of transportation projects involving urban reconstruction in highly congested corridors and for multi-level interchanges.

More recently, Juan has successfully developed and executed regional business development strategies to support growth across offices and practice areas in Texas and the southern U.S. He has experience in driving operational excellence and organic growth by employing scalable business models and operational protocols that address evolving markets and client needs.

Juan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural) from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, California, and Pennsylvania.
