Masih Alavy

Masih Alavy is a Senior Geothermal Engineer at GEI’s Boston office, bringing over 12 years of experience in the design of ground-source heat pump (geothermal energy) systems for both residential and commercial applications. He provides senior technical oversight and guidance on complex geothermal engineering projects.

Masih has experience in the design and construction of ground-source heating and cooling systems, having worked on projects with varying types and sizes. His strong academic foundation complements his professional experience, particularly in research and development (R&D).

He has successfully led and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams of engineers, researchers, and scientists to create advanced geothermal energy systems aimed at enhancing the sustainability and decarbonization of buildings. Masih has also secured multiple external R&D funding opportunities from both governmental and private sectors.
