Seasoned project manager Bryan Kyker joins GEI
September 16, 2025Kyker brings experience in the public power industry.
KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, Sept. 16, 2025 – Bryan Kyker has joined GEI Consultants in Knoxville as Senior Water Resources Engineer/Senior Project Manager. Brian brings has more than two decades of experience as a professional engineer in both the power industry and the private sector, with a focus on water resources engineering. He also brings experience in dam safety, geotechnical, solid waste management, dredging, stormwater management, and transportation.
“Bryan is a seasoned project manager with expertise in both consulting and industry,” says Todd Justice, Vice President and Knoxville Branch Manager at GEI. “His public power utility experience and familiarity with Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) will be instrumental in developing our water resources engineering practice in Tennessee and our South Region.”
Bryan comes to GEI after 10 years working at a public power utility. In his tenure with the power industry, Bryan developed strategies to manage CCR waste and site closure. He also managed engineering for the utility’s largest CCR waste removal project. Brian previously worked in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design.
“In working with GEI over the years, I grew to respect their business conduct regarding client management and the exceptional work quality they delivered,” says Bryan. “I wanted to join this respected group of professionals, and I look forward to helping expand GEI’s water resources practice, including with power utilities in CCR management.”
Bryan earned Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is a registered professional engineer in Florida and Tennessee, and a Certified ARCADIS Project Manager.
