Environmental expert Kirsten Myers joins GEI

Myers integrates technical expertise with mentorship.

NEW YORK CITY, New York, May 6, 2026 – Kirsten Myers has joined GEI Consultants as Senior Environmental Engineer/Senior Project Manager. Kristen brings more than 20 years of experience working as an environmental engineering professional in the northeast and is well versed in New York City and state regulatory requirements.

“We are very excited to welcome Kirsten to our New York City team,” says Asher Peltz, P.E., Vice President and Branch Manager at GEI. “Kirsten fills a long-desired role in our NYC office by supporting the growth of our environmental practice. She’s also an experienced people manager who can mentor and guide our growing team of junior staff.”

Kirsten brings experience in industrial demolition, managing multi-disciplinary investigations, assisting with property divesture, and cost estimating for the demolition of aging fossil-fueled power stations and proposed renewable energy projects. Her strong technical background will enable GEI to take on a greater share of work on larger projects from the NYC office.

“Having lived in New York City for 15 years, I was impressed with GEI’s presence and work in the city with both public and private clients,” says Kirsten. “I hope to grow GEI’s NYC environmental practice and keep us an industry leader with continued repeat client satisfaction.”

Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University.
