Erick Cooke joins GEI Consultants as Senior CEQA/NEPA Project Manager

Sacramento, CA Feb. 6, 2023Erick Cooke has joined GEI Consultants in Sacramento, CA, as a Senior CEQA/NEPA Project Manager. Erick brings more than 20 years of experience leading water resources planning, flood management, and habitat restoration projects.

“I’ve been working alongside Erick for several years, and I’m thrilled that he has joined us at GEI,” says Drew Sutton, CEQA/NEPA Practice Leader at GEI. “His deep experience with NEPA and CEQA analysis and commitment to helping our clients achieve their goals make him a great fit for our team. I’m looking forward to working with Erick as we tackle an expanding range of challenging and complex projects.”

Erick has led water supply, flood risk reduction, water and wastewater infrastructure, and floodplain restoration projects for federal, state, and local water supply and flood management agencies in California. He served as the CEQA compliance project manager for the Lookout Slough Tidal Habitat and Flood Improvement Project, the largest tidally-influenced restoration site to date to break ground in the Sacramento – San Joaquin Delta.

Erick earned his master’s degree in Environmental, Coastal, and Ocean Sciences from the University of Massachusetts and his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Hawaii-Manoa. He is an active member of the Association of Environmental Professionals.
