June 30, 2021

Boston, MA (June 30, 2021) – GEI climbed 3 spots on Engineering News Record’s (ENR) 2021 Top 500 Design Firms list to No. 84. ENR ranks firms according to their design services performed in 2020. GEI’s rose in ENR’s rankings despite the challenges of the global pandemic.

GEI Corporate Development Officer, Scott Wallington, cites the firm’s unique strategic growth mindset for GEI’s continued expansion.

“It is our focus on strategic growth in support of our clients and employees that fuels GEI’s success and sustains our unique employee ownership model,” says Scott. “We invest generously in staff development and we foster a grassroots seller-doer model that emphasizes close alignment with client needs at the local and national levels. We believe all of these components make GEI a compelling alternative for talent and clients alike.”

Since 2007, GEI has risen 185 spots to our present-day ranking. GEI also ranked No. 20 on the list of the Top 20 Design Firms in the water sector, and came in at No. 66 in the list of Top 100 Pure Designers in the U.S.
