November 18, 2014

BOSTON, Mass.—January 08, 2015— GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that the company has expanded its staff and client services in the western U.S. with the addition of Martha Moore, P. E. in Portland, Oregon and Bryan W. Stone, P.E. in southern California. These individuals augment GEI’s Pacific Northwest expansion which began in 2014 with the Portland office’s move to larger facilities, and the opening of GEI’s first Seattle office. In addition, the new hires support further expansion of environmental services with GEI clients throughout the West.

Martha Moore, P.E. is an Environmental Engineer with over 29 years of experience in the industry. Ms. Moore has extensive experience in air quality and acoustical engineering services for industrial and transportation projects throughout the United States, particularly the Pacific Northwest. She has provided assistance for all phases of complex projects from siting and planning through permitting for new projects, as well as upgrades to existing facilities, to development of environmental data management systems and employee training.  Her transportation project experience includes interstate highways; light rail, commuter rail, and freight rail projects; and analyses for airports and marine shipping. Prior to coming to GEI, she was president and founder of TW Environmental, Inc., a consulting engineering firm specializing in air quality and noise control engineering, which she ran for 18 years.

Bryan W. Stone, P.E. is a Professional Engineer with over 28 years of experience as a consulting engineer involving remedial design and remedial action programs at current and former industrial sites located across the United States. He has managed remedial activities and overseen environmental cleanups at complex sites undergoing demolition and redevelopment, including Superfund multi-PRP sites and Brownfields.  Mr. Stone provides his clients with expertise in scoping and executing their remedial activities to meet specific project, regulatory, or procurement needs; expedited schedules, or other transaction-driven requirements.  His experience includes work at railroad and port facilities, wood treating plants, former manufactured gas plants, petroleum refineries and tank farms, casting plants and smelters, and manufacturing facilities. Prior to coming to GEI, Mr. Stone was a Program Director at ERM-West, Inc. where he worked on a variety of remediation projects.

“We are fortunate to have these two talented engineers join our staff in the Pacific Northwest,” says vice president and Portland Office leader Ginger Gillin. “Martha brings proven leadership and almost 30 years of experience in environmental engineering to GEI that will help us grow and enhance our position in this field. Bryan’s depth of experience enhances remediation and redevelopment practice on the west coast to further our growing reputation as a trusted leader in the environmental industry in the western states.”

The expanded Pacific Northwest offices provides a variety of environmental and ecological assessment, air quality and noise permitting, compliance and permitting services including hydropower regulatory compliance and environmental assessments, site investigation and remediation, program management and related services to utilities, dam owners, freight rail, industrial, and public entities across the Pacific Northwest and nationally.
