GEI Consultants Hires Julie Jennings Kale as Senior Vice President, Human Resources

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—October 8, 2015— GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, is pleased to announce that Julie Jennings Kale, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has joined the firm as the new Senior Vice President, Human Resources. In this role, she is responsible for the development, implementation, administration and continuing evolution of the company’s HR team and functions. As part of GEI’s Executive Team, she will work directly with the team to address all Human Resources needs including: strategic leadership; employee engagement; performance management; risk management; human resources development; workforce planning and employment strategies; total rewards; learning development; and employee and labor relations.

Ms. Kale brings over 20 years of experience in human resources to GEI. Her career highlights include successfully inspiring and leading teams to increase profitability and achieve organizational goals and objectives, and creating service-oriented human resources functions that support innovative organizations in optimizing performance and growth. Ms. Kale comes to GEI from Dignity Health Medical Foundation in Rancho Cordova, CA, where she was the HR Director for their ambulatory care division. She directed three departments and a team of up to 32 employees in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Onboarding, HR Business Partnering, Employee and Labor Relations, Absence Management, Communication, Organizational Effectiveness, Learning & Development, HRIS/Workforce Intelligence, Employee Health & Safety and Workers’ Compensation for over 2,500 union and non-union employees in over 100 locations throughout California. Prior to Dignity Health, she worked as a Corporate Employee Relations Manager for Waste Connections, Inc., and Director of Human Resources for Java City.

Ms. Kale holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business from Cosumnes River College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management from California State University, Sacramento. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Health and Wellness at American College of Healthcare Sciences with an expected graduation date of May 2016.  She has also been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
