GEI Consultants Hires Key Senior Professional Gary Loveland in Ann Arbor

January 26, 2016

BOSTON, Mass.—January 25, 2016— GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that Gary Loveland has joined the firm as a Senior Professional, working out of their Ann Arbor, Michigan office. He will be responsible for obtaining and executing complex projects, with an emphasis on environmental remediation and restoration, for industrial and commercial clients across the United States.

Mr. Loveland has over 45 years of experience in the engineering and construction fields. For the first 15 years of his career, he worked as a highway and municipal engineer. His municipal work involved the design and construction of sanitary and storm sewers, water supply, and streets for small and medium sized villages and cities in Wisconsin and Illinois.

For the past 30 years, Mr. Loveland’s work has focused on large and complex environmental projects. His early environmental work involved solid waste landfill design. Mr. Loveland’s role grew from a design engineer to a regional solid waste delivery manager for a national engineering firm, where he was responsible for a 100-person unit in four offices in the Southeast. He later transitioned into a Senior Account Manager role, responsible for growing individual industrial accounts for another national firm.  For the past decade, Mr. Loveland has worked for an environmental contracting company located in Southwest Michigan, where his responsibilities included obtaining project opportunities and meeting client expectations for the delivery of work on large, complicated environmental remediation projects on a national basis.

“Gary’s wealth of experience and successful track record of fostering client relationships for organizations like ours is a real strength as we advance our presence and expand our environmental remediation services across the nation,” says Scott Wallington, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer. “We expect his strengths in environmental engineering and municipal work will help GEI achieve our goal of  continuing to grow our environmental remediation and restoration practice in 2016.”

Mr. Loveland is an active member of a variety of technical and client organizations, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and association meetings. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Platteville.
