GEI Expands Staff in Texas with Addition of Environmental Engineer Lisa Reyenga

Lisa A. Reyenga has joined the firm as an Environmental Engineer in its Fort Worth, TX office. Ms. Reyenga has over seven years experience in site remediation and characterization of multi-phase contaminants including NAPL, vapor, and dissolved phase contaminants. She specializes in life cycle management of NAPL remediation sites from initial investigation, through remediation system design and evaluation, to site closure based on NAPL mobility and recoverability.

Prior to joining GEI, Ms. Reyenga worked as an engineer for AECOM, where she gained experience with remediation of large, mixed plumes under complex hydrogeological conditions at active industrial sites. She executed the design and interpretation of hydrogeological investigations using methods such as vertical profiling tools, slug and pumping tests, and NAPL transmissivity tests. In addition, she performed analyses to optimize NAPL recovery and evaluated systems for shutdown based on hydraulic recovery endpoints, mass flux/mass discharge of dissolved phase contaminants, and natural source zone depletion; she integrated these results into data visualizations and conceptual site models for technical and non-technical audiences to communicate the results and the revised site strategy to clients and regulators.

Ms. Reyenga received her Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Tufts University and her Masters of Science in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
