Environmental Project Manager Jody Fessler Joins GEI
January 28, 2025Fessler finds creative design solutions to environmental challenges.
SACRAMENTO, California, Jan. 28, 2025 – Jody Fessler has joined GEI Consultants as Senior Environmental Project Manager. Jody brings 24 years of experience in environmental consulting supporting numerous utilities and state and local agencies. She specializes in client collaboration, project design, and creating mitigation strategies to avoid or minimize environmental impacts.
“Jody enhances our team with her vast experience on large energy and renewable energy projects. She’ll provide GEI’s clients with strategic regulatory guidance throughout the project lifecycle,” says Ryan Jolley, Senior Environmental Project Director at GEI. “Jody will expand our firm’s environmental services to energy and renewable energy clients supporting solar, wind, transmission, and other energy projects throughout California.”
Jody leads and manages teams that conduct environmental assessments of projects under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). She is especially experienced in renewable energy with more than 16 years of experience on wind and solar projects and associated infrastructure. Jody has also worked on a variety of other large planning and infrastructure projects in California, including water and gas pipelines, telecommunications, bridges, parks, riverine restoration, flood control, and passenger rail projects.

Jody holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Environmental Studies and Latin American and Latino Studies, both from the University of California at Santa Cruz. She is a member of the Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP) and the Wildlife Society.
