Project Management Professional John Haworth rejoins GEI

Haworth brings expertise in environmental remediation and water quality.

CARLSBAD, California, Jan. 14, 2026 – John Haworth, PMP, has returned to GEI’s Carlsbad, California, office as a Senior Professional.

John brings more than 20 years of consulting experience in environmental site assessment and remediation. Over the course of his career, he has managed a wide range of projects throughout California, specializing in environmental site assessment, remediation system design and installation, permitting, compliance, and due diligence. His leadership in program and project management has consistently delivered effective solutions that support both environmental quality and client success.

“John’s client focus and skill collaborating with project partners have always been his biggest assets, and they will once again bring success to GEI and our clients,” says Rick Ahlers, GEI’s Oil & Gas Operations Lead and West Region Environmental Remediation Lead.

John rejoins GEI after spending three years managing  the design, fabrication, and startup of industrial water treatment systems for the energy sector.

John holds a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Virginia Tech.
