HARTFORD, Connecticut, Nov. 4, 2024 – Kristin Connell has joined GEI Consultants as Senior Project Manager. Kristin brings more than 20 years of natural resources and permitting experience in New England and New York.

“Kristin brings broad expertise with both state and local permitting ranging from coastal to in-land development projects,” says Dave Terry, Vice President at GEI. “Her experience and capabilities will allow GEI to broaden services for many clients including coastal and levee improvement projects, land development, and renewable energy siting projects.”

Kristin specializes in wetland-related permitting to help clients achieve their project goals while reducing environmental impacts. She also brings experience in environmental remediation and a background in ecology, which enables her to work alongside engineers and consider project complexities during the permitting process.

“I was attracted to GEI’s expansive reach on ecological restoration and natural resources projects,” says Kristin. “I am excited to collaborate on large, multi-discipline projects across the country, and I hope to build a team of ecological and permitting professionals in the New England area to support and expand the existing practice.”

Kristin holds a Master of Arts degree in Biology, with a concentration in Ecology and Environmental Science, and Bachelor of Science degrees in both Animal Science and Biological Science, with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine.
