Michel Jubran joins GEI in California as Senior Consultant

Dam expert brings vast international experience in design and construction management

Carlsbad, CA (November 28, 2023) – Michel Jubran has joined GEI Consultants as a Senior Consultant with extensive field experience constructing dams both in the United States and internationally. Michel has more than 40 years of experience as a resident engineer for both designers and third-party construction managers on more than 35 dams across California.

“Michel’s expertise in dam and water infrastructure construction is a great fit for GEI. He enhances our status as experts in the engineering and construction of dams,” says Arun Parsons, P.E., CCM, Senior Practice Leader in Construction Management at GEI. “In particular, Michel’s experience with roller compacted concrete (RCC) will be an immediate asset to our dams practices in California and Colorado.”

Michel has worked on design teams and independent construction management teams for new builds and rehabilitations of RCC, concrete rock fill, asphaltic core, and earth fill dams. He has an advanced skill set in resident engineering and construction quality management, especially on projects facing challenging logistics and field conditions.

Michel holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Washington University. He is a member of the Association of Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO), the Portland Cement Association (PCA), the United States Society on Dams (USSD), and the International Committee on Large Dams (ICOLD).
