Planning, design, and construction veteran Monte Pride joins GEI
November 3, 2025Pride brings broad experience in higher education project management.
LANSING, Michigan, November 3, 2025 – Monte Pride has joined GEI Consultants as a Senior Project Manager. He brings 40 years of experience working in higher education at Michigan State University in the division of Infrastructure Planning and Facilities for the department of Planning, Design and Construction.
“I’m very excited to have Monte join GEI and support our growing Construction Services Team,” says Joe Caryl, CCM, Senior Vice President of Construction Services at GEI. “Monte’s extensive experience successfully delivering complex projects in the higher education system broadens our ability to support existing and new clients through planning, estimating, preconstruction, procurement, project management, and delivery.”
Monte has served as senior estimator, project manager, academic liaison, and supervisor of senior level engineers and architects focused on planning, major and minor renovations, utility infrastructure, and new construction. He is adept at bringing people together to accomplish difficult tasks by focusing on listening, prompt and thorough communication, and thoughtful follow through on action items.

Monte holds a State of Michigan journeyman electrical license and recently retired from Michigan State University after four decades of service. He is a member of the IPF Business Leaders Committee, the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), LEED AP, and the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA and MiAPPA).
