Infrastructure expert Robert Samples joins GEI

Samples brings decades of construction experience.

ANN ARBOR, Michigan, Sept. 23, 2025 – Robert Samples has joined GEI Consultants as a Senior Professional. With nearly three decades of infrastructure experience as a surveyor and quality professional, Robert brings specialty expertise in tunnels, bridges, and dams.

“We are excited to have Robert join GEI and our growing Construction Services team,” says Joe Caryl, CCM, Senior Vice President of Construction Services at GEI. “Robert brings a wealth of experience working on large complex infrastructure construction projects, providing construction inspection services and driving quality in the built environment.”

Robert has delivered high quality infrastructure projects across the country and internationally. He has a strong ability to interact with clients to solve problems and complete projects efficiently and safely.

“I am thrilled to join GEI and bring my expertise and experience to the team,” says Robert. “In addition to functioning in my quality assurance role, I’m looking forward to mentoring young engineers and supporting the growth of the next generation of construction delivery professionals.”

Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Technology from Tennessee State University.
