Stephen Tauss, P.G. joins GEI as a Senior Project Manager

Addition of seasoned soil and groundwater project manager bolsters GEI’s New York remediation team

Huntington Station, NY (February 23, 2023) – Stephen “Steve” Tauss, P.G. has joined GEI’s Huntington Station office as a Senior Project Manager. Steve brings more than 21 years of professional experience planning and managing a broad range of soil and groundwater investigation and remediation projects for public and private clients.

“Steve is a terrific addition to GEI’s Huntington Station team,” says GEI Vice President Errol Kitt. “His experience leading multiple investigation and remedial programs for large corporations and public agencies will be key to maintaining our current contracts as well as planning and implementing future strategic growth initiatives. Steve brings a great mix of experience, capability, enthusiasm, and a proven track record of delivering for his clients.”

Steve is highly-skilled and experienced in supporting contract procurement and management of soil and groundwater investigation and remedial efforts for large multi-site portfolios for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), Long Island Railroad (LIRR), and New York City Transit Authority (NYCT).

Steve’s impressive project portfolio demonstrates the successful management of public and private projects that are either complex and/or on an accelerated schedule. Most recently, he managed a significant groundwater remediation project involving Operation, Maintenance, and Monitoring (OM&M) for a large-scale groundwater containment and remediation system at an expansive former aerospace manufacturing facility located in Bethpage, NY.
