ORLANDO, Florida, Dec. 16, 2025 Patrick Hastings has joined GEI Consultants as Vice President and Senior Consultant. He is a licensed Professional Geologist in six states with more than 20 years of experience in vibration control, geophysics, and construction management. Patrick has provided technical leadership on major infrastructure, marine, transportation, demolition, and urban development projects across the United States.

“Patrick will help lead GEI’s continued growth in Florida and the Southeast by providing expertise in the areas of vibration and movement monitoring and control,” says Scott Keating, Senior Vice President and GEI’s South Region Operations Manager. “His operations experience will also aid GEI’s office expansion in both the Orlando and West Palm Beach, Florida, markets.”

Patrick holds a Master of Science in Geophysics from the University of Minnesota, where he developed experimental and analytical methods for understanding the dynamic behavior of earth materials. This geophysics foundation informs his applied work in geotechnical vibration monitoring, structural response evaluation, and advanced monitoring strategies for complex construction environments.

“I chose GEI for its proven excellence and the empowering environment created by its ownership culture,” says Patrick. “GEI also provides the opportunity to apply my expertise in monitoring and construction support within a larger multidisciplinary engineering environment, which will allow me to help lead the firm’s expansion in Florida.”

In addition to his Master of Science in Geophysics, Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Michigan. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG), and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
