Award-winning Civil Engineer Reza Taleghani joins GEI

Senior Project Manager brings broad Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) project experience

Carlsbad, CA (June 3, 2024) – Reza Taleghani, P.E., has joined GEI Consultants in Carlsbad, CA, as a Senior Project Manager. Reza brings 27 years of experience as a senior civil engineer and project manager with the City of San Diego. He has expertise leading large CIP projects including water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations, roadways, recreation parks, skate parks, and right-of-way improvements.

During his career, Reza has worked with multiple municipalities and environmental agencies to complete complex projects. He has managed and coordinated various activities with various departments including purchasing, the City Attorney’s office, planning, design, permitting, and construction.

Reza holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Water Resources and Environmental Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University. Reza has won numerous awards for his projects including the APWA & ASCE Project of the Year award for 2008 Torrey Pines Golf Course for the US Open, the 2011 Team of the Year award, and the 2013 APWA Project of the Year Award for Via Esprillo Slope Repair.
