Juan Contreras, P.E. joins GEI Consultants as Vice President/Regional Growth Leader for the South Region

New Leader to Drive Further Growth in Firm’s Texas Market

DALLAS, TX (June 15, 2022) – Juan Contreras has joined GEI Consultants as Vice President/Regional Growth Leader for the firm’s South Region. A senior-level operations executive with more than 36 years of experience in the consulting and professional services industry, Juan will develop and help execute regional business development strategies to support the growth of multiple offices and practice areas in the southern and southeastern U.S.

“Juan’s depth of experience in strategic business planning and execution will help GEI’s South Region achieve our goals of targeted service line and geographic expansions, especially in the area of civil transportation design in the Texas market,” says Scott Keating, GEI’s Vice President and South Region Operations Manager. “Juan possesses a unique blend of business development and operations capabilities focused on strategic growth.”

In his more than three decades of experience, Juan has successfully driven operational excellence and organic growth throughout organizations in his charge. He has led multi-office operations and developed scalable business models and operational protocols that address evolving markets and client needs. Juan is adept at promoting collaboration and providing leadership through guidance and empowerment.

Juan holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural) from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. He serves on Texas A&M University’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Faculty Advisory Council and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, California, and Pennsylvania.
